Middle School teams "The Hackers" and "Bad Bananas" each won awards at the VEX Robotics Tournaments held Saturday at Jension High School.

Team "The Hackers" was presented with the Build Award, given to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a high-quality robotics program. "The Hackers" finished in 3rd place (of 33 teams) after the Qualifying Round matches, captained the 2nd place alliance, and lost in the Quarterfinals. Team members (L/R) are Liam Greene, Parker Stull, Hunter Crouch, and Aiden Glass. Team coaches are Charles Crouch and Matt Glass.

Team "Bad Bananas" was presented with the Create Award, given to a team that has developed creative solutions to the engineering problem, the design process, or ways to play the game. "Bad Bananas" finished in 11th place after the Qualifying Round matches, captained the 9th place alliance, and lost in the Quarterfinals. Team members (L/R) are Blaine Rensi, Parker Montange, and Luca Cassada. Team coaches are Sarah and Curtis Orr.
Overall, it was a busy day for the Plainwell Robotics Club's teams. Our five high school teams competed in the HS Tournament, and all seven of our middle school teams participated in the MS Tournament.
